Zamfara APC constitutes committees on security, publicity


The All Progressives Congress ( APC) Zamfara state chapter has constituted two committees comprising 14 man and 24 members security and publicity with a view to assisting the progress of the party in the state.

Inaugurating the publicity committees Tuesday at the party state secretariat in Gusau, the chairman of the state APC, Lawal Muhammad Liman, who was represented by the state secretary of the party, Alhaji Sani Musa Mafara, charged them to abide by the party’s democratic policies, constitution and rules of law.

He said sound performance in the discharge of their responsibility would help in developing the party across all the 14 local government councils of the state.

He explained that the party would remain committed to the provision programmes that would cater for the wellbeing, unity and progress of all its members in the state, despite the fact that the party has no power at state level.

The party calls on all members to remain in one umbrella and be united for the progress of the party in the state.

Meanwhile, the terms of reference and mission for the security committee includes ensuring collaboration with all security agencies in case that affect the party members for lawful and proper solutions,

The committee’s mission, according to the party, is to protect the legitimate rights of APC members in the state.

The chairman stated that, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Birnin Magaji and Rtd. Commissioner of Police Abdullahi Ibrahim Tsafe, are assigned to serve as chairmen of publicity and security committees respectively.

In separate interviews shortly after their inauguration, the two committees chairmen, pledged to work hard to achieve the desired objectives.
