Zamfara commissioner sponsors 18 school graduates for higher learning

As part of efforts to assist the less privileged and reduce hardship among his people, the Zamfara state Commissioner for Security and Internal Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Daura has sponsored 18 secondary school graduates to study a diploma programme in various fields at Zamfara state College of Arts and Sciences  (ZACAS).

He has also assisted over 800 less privileged with clothing materials and cash from his local government.

In his remarks during the distribution of the donation Saturday, the commissioner stated that the gesture was in line with his determination to complement the style of leadership of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle in helping the needy.

He said the items distributed include cash grand, clothing materials to men and women, religious leaders, Fulani communities as well as executive members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Zurmi local government branch, youths, among others.

“This gesture is in line with the effort of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle and it will be sustained with a view to enable those who do not benefits to get”. Dauran stated.

The commissioner then urged the people of the state to live with one another in peace for the development of the state.

In his address, Zamfara state governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, who was represented by the Chief of Staff, Government House, Rtd. Col. Bala Mande at the occasion, commended the commissioner for the gesture and urged the beneficiaries to make use of what they were given judiciously and appropriately.
