Zamfara CP Elkana retires, bids farewell to officers, men

Zamfara State Police Commissioner CP Ayuba N. Elkana Thursday bided farewell to officers and men of the command Thursday as he retired after 32 years in service.

Speaking at the event, he said: “It is with great joy and deep sense of gratitude to Almighty Allah that I stand here today to welcome you all to this historic event which symbolises my retirement from the Nigeria Police Force after successful 32 years in service”.

“I want to further thank Almighty Allah for giving me the life and strength to witness the successful end of my carrier in the Nigeria Police Force”. He added

Mr. Elkana thanked IGP Usman Alkali Baba for the confidence and trust bestowed on him to be his ambassador in Zamfara State as Commissioner of Police.

“The professional guide and support I received from the IGP have made my tenure successful in Zamfara state. May Allah continue to guide and protect the IGP. 

“Wish I to also thank our AIG Zone 10 Sokoto, AIG Bello Sani Dalijan for his support and encouragement to officers and men of the Command.

“My historical service carrier in the Nigeria Police will not be complete without mentioning Zamfara State because, it is only in Zamfara State Command that I served in three (3) different capacities”.

He commend the state Governor, Dr. Mohammed Bello Matawallen Maradun for the support given to him during his stewardship as commissioner of police in the state.

I must appreciate our workaholic Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Senator Hassan Mohammed Nasiha, the SSG, the Chief of Staff, the Head of Service and all Members of the State Executive Council.

Mr. Elkana thanked traditional leaders for the support, contribution and prayers given to him and his officers and men for the successful stay in Zamfara as commissioner of police.
