Zamfara CP inaugurates PCRC state executive

Zamfara state Police Commissioner, Mr. Kenneth Ebrimson, yesterday inaugurated the newly elected executives of the state Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) under the chairmanship of Alh. Bello Rankande Gamji at the state command headquarters, Gusau. The CP called on the new PCRC leadership in the state to always work hand in hand with the command and community policing so as to ensure peace and unity in the state.
The new chairman, who doubles as the state Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dankande Gamji, in his goodwill remark, pledged to work assiduously with the police through positive information that could assist the command in arresting insecurity that bedeviled the state’s socioeconomic activities.
In his address, the national chairman of PCRC, Alh. Faruk Abdullahi Maiyama, commiserated with the state government and citizens over the armed bandits which led to the loss of many innocent lives in the state. Maiyama said the PCRC will partner with all the state police command in ensuring the restoration of peace in the country. In his address, Zamfara state governor, Alh. Abdulaziz Yari, represented by the Speaker, state Assembly, Alh Sanusi Garba Rikiji, charged the new PCRC leaders to fear God in the discharge of their services and cooperate with the state government and security agencies in bringing information that could assist them in tackling security challenges such in the state.
