Zamfara state deputy governor Barrister Mahdi Ali Gusau on Friday stated that the state government under the leadership of Governor Bello Muhammad Matalle was ready to give support to Kaduna Electric to enable it to guarantee stable power supply in the state.
Mahdi stated this when he received the management of the Gusau Area Office of Kaduna Electric in his office.
He also assured the management of the company that his office “is always open as regards any suggestions to be given by the company on how to improve power generation in the state.”
“My office is ready to give all the unflinching and adequate support to power supply company in the state so that together we can ensure uninterrupted power supply in the state,” he said.
In his response, the area manager, Engr. Sabo Abdul, congratulated the deputy governor for being the number two indigene of the state and solicited for his support on ways to tackle some issues hindering the performance of the Electricity Distribution Company in the state.
“We are soliciting the cooperation of the state government and all critical stakeholders in the state to guarantee steady and qualitative power supply; when we are given the necessary cooperation, we promise to give adequate supply, thereby boosting economic activities in the State and providing employment opportunities to the youth”, the area manager contented.”
The area manager also assured the Deputy Governor of the company’s support to all the developmental initiatives of the administration especially adequate power supply to the state for its socioeconomic growth and development.
