The Peoples Democratic Party PDP governorship aspirant Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare has been described as substantive candidate of the party in Zamfara state come 2023 governorship election.
This was made known by his running mate Alhaji Mani Malam Muminu in an interview with Blueprint while reacting to speculation that Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare was preparing to suspend his contest to join APC.
He described the speculation as malicious capable of damaging the reputation of Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare as well as a calculated attempt sponsored by the oppositions to cause disunity and confusion as disrupt PDP preparedness to win election in the state.
He accused Senator Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura for masterminding the speculation after meeting with Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare inside one of the mosque in London recently.
“We learnt that the picture going round in social media platforms attached with our PDP governorship aspirant Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare and Senator Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura shortly after performing prayers in London is been purportedly planted by Yariman Bakura and his lieutenants alleging he would step down his contest which is not true,” Malam Mani contended.
“I want to state it clear that our governorship aspirant Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare is still contesting and no retreat no surrender in that direction”.
Malam Mani Malam Muminu further hinted that PDP in Zamfara will win election in 2023, calling on supporters of the party in the state to disregard any rumor peddling round that Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare will suspend his contest and join APC.
