Zamfara killings callous – North-west PDP

Kano

North-west chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the recent killings in Zamfara state, describing it as “callous and clear demonstration of dastardly acts.”
In a communiqué issued at the end of the party’s Zonal working committee meeting signed by the National Vice Chairman of the party, Ambassador Ibrahim Musa Kazaure, and the Zonal Secretary, Joseph Gumbari , in Kano yesterday, the party called for the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators of the evil act.
The party also condemned the action of the Zamfara state governor for abandoning his people at the time when his attention was needed in the state, but rather chose to go on political frolic.
The party, however, expressed confidence that it was determined to wrest power from the APC- led government in the country and called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to “stop henceforth the registration of under-age children across the country.”
It equally called on persons that had attained the voting age from 2015 to come out enmasse and register.
The party also commended members for their resilience and sincerity of purpose in standing up to the challenge of wresting power in 2019 and stressed the need for them to unite and forge a common front in attaining such a goal in the times ahead.
In the same vein, the North-west chapter publicity secretary of the party, Malam Yusuf Adamu Babura, commended party members for expressing their resolve in making the zonal working committee a huge success.
He described the press as “genuine partners in progress” and the quest for repositioning the party on a sound and promising pedestal.
