Zamfara police nab 4 ‘kidnappers,’ 3 bandits

Zamfara state police command has apprehended four syndicates of kidnappers at Dan-Kadon Daji village of Talata-Mafara local council of the state.
This was announced by the state commissioner of police, Mr. Kenneth Ebrimson, while addressing journalists in his office today.
According to him, the suspects were arrested following information that, the syndicate do originated to a particular village demanding ransom or they will come and kidnap them.
Those arrested were; Abubakar Aliyu, 35, Shehu Aliyu, 20, Sanusi Hassan, 30, Shamsu Na-Kwalle, 35, respectively.
“When the police got the information that the complaints they have been written a letter to was asked to arrange some money for them, the sum of N39,500 was arranged for them to collect, immediately they came to collect the money, our men swung into action and arrested the culprits,” the commissioner said.
Kenneth further revealed that the suspects were currently undergoing interrogation at the SCIID in order to make more arrest.
He said, the command would not relent in its effort to smoke out the state of all sorts of crimes and criminality and ensure adequate surveillance to protect lives and properties of Zamfara state and its people.
In the same vein, the police commissioner pointed out that, following a tip up by the mobile police and special forces of the command at Birane area where the bandits last week attacked the village in Zurmi local council of the state, three suspect had been arrested in connection with the attack; Halilu Garba, aka Mabushi, Zubairu Màrafa, aka Wakili and Nafiu Badamasi, aka, Zakiru, respectively.
