Zamfara Police smash robbery gang, recover car, arms


Four suspected armed robbers have been arrested by the officers of the Zamfara state Police Command, just as a Lexus Jeep believed to have been snatched in Rivers state was recovered from the gang.
Police Public relations Officer for the command, DSP Muhammad Shehu, disclosed this in a statement, yesterday in Gusau, stating that the suspects were arrested on March 3, 2018, near Talata-Mafara on Gusau-Sokoto Highway.
Shehu said the vehicle marked RSH 385 SK and one English-made pistol, were allegedly recovered from the suspects.
According to him, the Police Commissioner, Mr KenneThembrimson, has assured residents of the commitment of the command to effectively protect lives and property, just as he urged them to provide useful information to track down criminals.
He said the suspects would be charged to court on completion of investigation.
