Zamfara politicians flood Abuja ahead Supreme Court judgement review

Ahead of the review of the 2019 Zamfara state governorship election slated to hold on Tuesday by the Supreme Court, politicians from the state have flooded Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to witness how the case will be decided.

Investigations by the Blueprint reveal that public offices at J.B Yakubu State Secretariat in Gusau including the office of the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Bala Bello Maru, and other government agencies were closed before the official closing time.

When Blueprint  visited the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress ( APC),  only four  private security guard officers including two policemen were present while the party executives including their supporters were said have traveled to Abuja.

Similarly, Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle is expected to land at the Nnamdi Azikiwe  Airport  Abuja from Dubai to join majority of the Senior staff who have since  left for Abuja.

The APC had filed for a review of an earlier Supreme Judgment that declared the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party as winners of the governorship, national assembly and state house of assembly elections conducted in the state.
