Zamfara signs MoU with Qatar charity on water supply

Zamfara state Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Qatar Charity Home for the construction of 15 Mosques,15 motorised boreholes and 20 hand pumps across the state.

This was made known by the Director General Press Affairs to the governor, Malam Yusuf Idris in a press statement in Gusau Monday.

He said signing of the MoU was held at the governor’s residence in Asokoro, Abuja Monday.

“Governor Matawalle Signed on behalf Zamfara state Government while the Executive Director of the Qatar Charity Foundation, Mr Hamdi Mohammed signed on behalf of his organization,” Yusuf said.

He said the governor expressed his happiness over the Qatar Charity to the people of Zamfara state and assured of his government’s readiness to partner with charity organizations across the world for the purpose of developing  Zamfara state educationally, socially and economically.

“The world’s current system of development is through partnership with charity and donor organizations,” the governor said.

Executive Director of Qatar Charity, Mr Hamdi Mohammed commended the government development strive of building a new Zamfara that everybody would be happy to live in.

He assured of his organisation’s continued support in the areas of health, education and economic development.
