The father of the chairman Zaria local government area of Kaduna state, Engr Aliyu Idris Ibrahim, Alhaji Idris Ibrahim, popularly known as Baba Idi, has died.
Baba Idi passed on at the age of 79 in his residence in Zaria city after a brief illness at the early hour of Sunday.
Confirming the demise of their father, a family member, Mallam Abbas Idris Ibrahim, said the death of his father was shocking to the entire household.
Until his death, Baba Idi was a businessman and one time permanent member in Kaduna State Local Government Service Commission.
He is survived by three wives, 79 children and many grand children among whom are the chairman of Zaria local government, Engr Idris Ibrahim, and Mallam Abbas Idris Ibrahim, a Deputy Director in Kaduna state Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.
He has been buried in Zaria city in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
