Zaria LG sensitises workers on Covid-19 protocols

As workers in Kaduna state resumed work after the lockdown as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Zaria local government area has sensitised its workers against the spread of the disease.

It urged workers to ensure regular washing of hands and abiding by all other protocols outlined by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Speaking at the sensitisation programme at the local government secretariat in Zaria City on Friday, the director, Finance and Administration of the Council, Alhaji Kabir Usman, advised workers not to in any way shun the protocols.

Alhaji Usman who was represented by the deputy director, Administration, Alhaji Ahmed Yahaya, also advised them to always wash their hands at the entry of the local government secretariat for their safety and others.

In her remarks, the coordinator, Water and Sanitation Hygiene, of the local government, Hajiya Bilkisu Mohammed, said regular washing of hands and physical distancing were common measures of averting the spread of the pandemic.

She said further that the local government administration had done its own part in managing and controlling the pandemic by providing the needed materials such as sanitisers, soap and others to ensure that “none of the workers contracts the disease.”
