Zazzau Emir Bamalli lauds journalists on objective reportage

The Emir of Zazzau and Chairman Kaduna state Council of Emirs and Chiefs, Amb Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli has lauded the effort of journalists in the state in the objective coverage and reportage of activities.

The royal father stated this when he received members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zaria unit led by its chairman, Comrade Moh Bello Habib, Thursday, on condolence visit over the demise of two prominent Princes of Zazzau Emirate, Alhaji Bashir Aminu and Alhaji Abdulkadir Iya Pate and Talban Zazzau, respectively who died last week following brief illnesses.

Amb Bamalli said journalists in state, particularly those covering his domain, were immensely contributing to nation building, especially in the area of dousing tension during the trying moments in the emirate.

He charged the working journalists to maintain the tempo, advising them not derail in their professional conduct so as not to ignite crisis or misfortune in the state.

Earlier, the chairman of the NUJ unit, Malam Moh Bello had told the Emir that they were at his palace to condole with him over the death of the two princes and to urge him to carry on with equanimity.

Comrade Bello described their death as unfortunate, saying the late Iyan Zazzau and Talban Zazzau died when their contributions were highly needed and prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed to rest in Aljannatul-Firdaus.

In a related development, the emir received groups and individuals on condolence visit over the demise of the emirate’s princes who died last week.

Notable among the groups were old pupils of Alu Dansidi School of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Zaria and Management of Albabello Trading Company, led by their chairman and managing director, Khadi Adamu Pada and Alhaji Hassan Abdulwahab.
