Zazzau emir tasks journalists on objective reportage

Emir of Zazzau and Chairman, Kaduna State Council of Emirs and Chiefs, Alhaji Shehu Idris, has advised journalists to ensure objective reportage of events.
He gave the advice when executive members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists’ New Nigerian Newspaper’s Chapel paid him a courtesy visit yesterday.
He said newspaper was established to guide, protect and inform citizens on government policies.
The monarch promised to do his best to assist the company to return to its standard as far as media coverage was concerned.
He expressed appreciation over the return of operation in the company which stopped for 31 months.

Earlier, chairman of the Chapel, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Kadir Ahmed, told the emir that the visit was to condole with him over the death of his title holders who passed away.
Ahmed also solicited support of the emir in bringing back the lost glory of the company through his wealth of experience.
However, the chapel congratulated the emir for attaining 40 years on the throne of Zazzau Emirate and his new appointment as chancellor of the University of Abuja.
