The nursing college, he explained, will train Gwoza residents and the neighbouring communities to be professionals in public health nursing, midwifery and other health-related courses with a view to providing affordable and quality health services to the people.

On the upgrade of Gwoza General Hospital, Zulum said  “Your Highness, in addition to the college, we will upgrade the general hospital to a specialist status which will serve as a reference hospital for the College of Nursing.”

Meanwhile, Governor Zulum also led stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to a rally in Gwoza town where he addressed a mammoth crowd of supporters who trooped to the premises of the emir’s palace.

The governor listed numerous projects executed by his administration in different parts of Gwoza and promised to establish a higher Islamic college, prioritise youth and women empowerment.
